Improving emergency care for young people after they self-harm.

Our aim is to understand what helps young people who self-harm, why, and in what circumstances, to develop more effective, compassionate, and accessible emergency care.

Young people are at the heart of EmCASH

Young people are at the heart of our research – because they are the true experts in their own experiences.

From identifying our priorities to shaping the project design, we work closely with our Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG) to focus on what matters most to young people.

We will share our findings through:

  • Our study website

  • Animated videos on social media

  • Scientific papers

  • Presentations at conferences

  • Reports and recommendations for key decision-makers

We are working with our stakeholder groups to identify more ways to reach as many people as possible. Let us know if you have any ideas!
